There are many of us who upon first setting our young eyes on the voluptuous curves of a Ferrari GTO or a Lamborghini Miura, or the piercing lines of a Lancia Stratos or a Lotus Esprit, and then hearing the explosive soprano whaling of a BMW P83 F1 engine or the mechanical angry growl of an air-cooled Porsche 917K Flat 12…driven flat out… became afflicted with a disease whose symptoms ultimately lead to a lifelong lust to touch, ride, listening to, tinkering with, pilot, possess - or just look at - these not-so-mere methods of transportation.
The essays and podcasts contained here are not reviews per se of automobiles, even if they do contain some technical details when relevant to the story. Rather, they are weaved observations and anecdotes that hopefully convey, in an entertaining way, the visceral sensation, the illogical obsession, and maybe even provide a logical explanation – if only as a form of self-delusion - of what it means to lust over, live with, endure, survive and ultimately remember our friend and sometimes foe, the automobile.
